FAQ

How Long Should You Chill Cuban Flan?

Chilling flan is important to make it perfect. You want to make sure that the Flan is cold enough so that the custard doesn’t set and the ladyfinger peaks are sharp. It should be chilled for at least 2 hours, but ideally 4.

What Do You Eat With Cuban Flan?

There are many different ways to eat flan, but the most common way is to put it in a bowl and top it with whipped cream or custard. You can also put flan in a pie crust or make cookies with it. Some popular combinations include flan with strawberries or flan with ice cream and chocolate sauce.

How Do I Know When Cuban Flan Is Done?

There are many ways to know when Flan is done, but the best way to determine if it is ready is to test it with a toothpick. If the toothpick comes out clean, then Flan is ready to eat. If there are any pieces of Flan left on the toothpick, then it needs more time in the oven.

Why Is My Cuban Flan Caramel Hard?

There are a few reasons why your flan caramel might be hard. One possibility is that the sugar is not completely dissolved. If this happens, the caramel will form a hard crust on the top. You can try to dissolve the sugar further by boiling it or simmering it, or you can try using a different type of sugar.

Another possibility is that the flan has been over-cooked. This means that the milk has boiled off and left behind an intense caramel flavor. You can try cooking the flan for a little less time, or adding more milk to compensate for the lost liquid.
